INTRODUCTION
(ongoing)
10:30 am, Noon, & 2 pm — Transforming urban spaces into
viable and Edible Plant Gardens; Soil Building, Cultivation,
and Compost.

Join us for an overview on how we can  revitalize urban spaces with soil building techniques, native and drought resistant plant integration, and cultivating community through growing and sharing healthy foods.

Bring the whole family and take part in these wonderful projects:

edu-GREEN
Planting Winter Crops & Green Manure - Join us for a demonstration and planting of Fava Beans, Winter Crops and Green Manure; all of which add nutrients to Winter soils -- as well as providing Winter Food.

Bamboo Trellis Making

We have many bamboo pieces and want to collaborate with you on making a beautiful design that will go up on the wall to help guide our vertical gardening efforts. This will be a lot of fun as we want vegetation to grow upwards to utilize unused space – this will become integrated with future mural painting projects.

Mandala Garden  – Collaborative and Intentional ART

Help re-create our stepping areas in the mandala garden. Think of this as a sacred space for you to state your own intentions, dreams, and wishes as you create with community. Bring any flat tile pieces you may have acquired from an old art or remodeling  project and offer it to the mandala. Many tile stores have free bins, see what you can find - all reused resources please - no need to buy anything. Also, if you have one, please bring a hand broom, as this will be a useful tool. If you wish you can contact me by phone

BRING
Please come with appropriate clothes, gloves, and water canteen – we’ll have a 5-gallon jug for refilling. If you can provide some simple and healthy foods to share for the day, let us know. We could also use newspaper for sheet mulching.
