Michelle Guintu
In the works of Michelle Guintu you can find a raw expressionist style. Working with oil pastels is her prominent fixation for the immediecy of the line. She plays with the struggle to compose colors, shapes, and lines in order to generate a clean messy image. You can relate her work to german expressionist, pop art, and contemporary.
Currently, Michelle is experimenting with new series of work for 2009. Most recently she has exhibited work at the Museum of Contemorary Art DC and the Museum of Design Atlanta. Michelle Guintu graduated in 2006 from California State East Bay with a BFA in traditional studio arts. She has been with CELLspace since 2008.
