Here's what we have in store for this weekend at CELLspace. Hope you

Mission Open Studios is this weekend.

Many studios in the neighborhood will be hosting receptions on friday  
night and showing art Saturday and Sunday.

CELLspace's resident artists are proud to be exhibiting work:

Through the back door, 633 Florida on saturday, April 26 from 11-4.
Through the front door, in the main space, 2050 Bryant St on sunday,  
April 27 from 11-6.

Come by to see paintings, screen prints, metal work, concrete, glass  
and to hear music, all created within our ever-active 10,000 square  
feet of artistic exuberance.

On Saturday April 26, False Profit, LLC and Missing Piece, LLC will  
present ALCHEMY, a live and interactive art and fashion event.  
Refashioning notions of standard art, the artists and participants  
will toy with and combine different mediums for unlikely results. Last  
year's ALCHEMY at California Modern Art Gallery was so successful that  
it would’ve been irresponsible (probably even immoral) if we didn’t do  
it again this year.

Featuring

Styles of Magic fashion show by Missing Piece @ 10pm
Phantoccino, a magic show by Keith Boudreau
Art Gallery by Will Chase Arts
Alchemical Afforestation, an interactive steel sculpture by Shira Loa
Digicrylic Mash-Up by Dangermarc and Ron Goldin
PyroCardium, a heartbeat-powered candelabra by False Profit Labs
Web of (de)Construction, a live textile piece by Medium Reality
Identity Tapestry by Mary Corey March
Flame Tree Building Workshop by False Profit Labs
Phoenix Aviary, a reactive video installation
Writing Photos, an intersection of writing and photography
Altered Paintings, reworking thrift-store finds
Interactive Lights & Magnets, Photo Booth, Lego Robots, origami, and  
more.

Each designer in the Missing Piece fashion show will depict a  
different era of magic, from Houdini's 1920s, to Voodoo, and on to the  
mysteries of Faeries and Pixies. Participating designers include  
Miranda Caroligne, Shira Loa, MonTree, Jeremy Parr, Charlie B.,  
Antoniya Ivanova, Chrystie Cappelli, Galerah, and Leila Bazzani.

This is a do-not-miss event!
